Bob E Metcalf

Bob E. Metcalf, 72, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 14th, 2020 at Joliet Hospice House. He is the beloved husband of Wanda Lee (nee Hall); Loving father of Joshua Metcalf, Tyler Metcalf, Christopher Metcalf, Meagan Metcalf and Brandy Metcalf; and Devoted brother of Mary (Allan) Phelke. He was preceded in death by his parents, B. J. and Virginia Metcalf, a daughter, Jennifer Metcalf, and a sister, Leila Metcalf. Bob was born in Searcy, Arkansas, but as a child his family moved to Illinois. He was an operating engineer for Local 150, which kept him moving throughout the country during his career. Despite that, he called Illinois his home. Bob retired approximately 10 years ago. He was a member of the Free Masons. In keeping with his wishes, private cremation rites have been accorded. Bob and Wanda were always helpful to needy causes, and Wanda requests that donations to your favorite charity in Bob’s memory would be appreciated in lieu of flowers.
