Charles Garcia

Charles Garcia, 61, of Lockport, passed away peacefully Friday, December 18^th at his home surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of 25 years to Dora (nee Gonzalez); Devoted father of Charlie “Carlos” Garcia, Brandon Garcia, and the late David (Sarah) Garcia; Cherished grandfather of Juliana, Sonny and David; Dear brother of Theresa (Dan) Bernbaum, Elizabeth Dominick, Patricia Petrus, Anthony Garcia, Molly (Hector) Rivera-Melo, Richard Garcia and the late Joe (Linda) Garcia; many loving aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Charles was a painter for many years working at McCormick Place and later Navy Pier until 2018. He was a Police and Fire Commissioner for Stone Park for many years. He treasured his many years as a soccer coach for the Manhattan Mavericks, concluding in 2014. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 23^rd, from 5:00 PM until time of Service at 7:00 PM at the New Life Community Church, 14832 W. 163^rd Street, Homer Glen. Pastor Eric Marquez officiating. Private cremation rites will follow. Covid 19, Tier 3 restrictions including face masks and social distancing, will be observed.
