Dena Workman

November 23, 1955 — February 21, 2022

Dena Marie Workman passed away from Covid at the Banner Dell E. Webb Medical Center in Sun City, Arizona, on February 21st, 2022 at the age of 66.  Born in Evergreen Park, Illinois on November 23rd, 1955, the daughter of Robert and Gloria (Sandraco) Workman.

Dena graduated Lincoln-Way High School and went on to various colleges including Moraine Valley Community College, Joliet Junior College and Governors State University. Dena’s occupations were in service to others. She worked in the health field, as a respiratory therapist, as well as working technical support for Floral Network and Panduit.  She also helped family and friends, with regard to medical situations. Speaking with the nurses and doctors to insure the best possible care was given.

Her son, Richie, was the greatest gift she ever received. He was the joy of her soul and love of her life.

She had a fondness for her hairless cats and enjoyed living in the warmer parts of the country, such as California and Arizona, but her home was in Illinois.

Survivors include her mother Gloria Workman; her brothers, Robert (Carol) Workman, and Richard (Mary) Workman; a sister, Lorie (Matthew) Bastien; niece, Erika Workman; and nephews, Bryan Workman, Andrew (Alyson) Workman and Charles (Kelly) Workman.

Dena was preceded in death by her son, Richard Workman and her father, Robert Workman Sr.

A private interment ceremony will be conducted at a future date at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Cook County, Illinois.
