Edward S. “Stu” Zsido, Jr., 68, of Lockport, passed away Friday, October 28th, following an extended illness. He was born on November 7, 1953, to the late Edward S. and Sydney Zsido, Sr. He is survived by his beloved wife of 39 years, Janice A. Zsido (nee Barrett); Loving father of Breanna (Jim) Speckman, Brandon A. (Melissa) Zsido, and the late Benjamin Zsido; Cherished grandfather of Layla and Ava Speckman, Charlotte, Gracelyn, and Wrenlee Zsido; Dear brother of Jory Zsido and the late David Zsido; Devoted life-long friend of Ernesto Ybarra; Fond uncle to many nieces and nephews. Edward was a lifelong resident of the South Suburbs including Sauk Village and New Lenox. He was very involved with his children as they were growing up doing things that included coaching little league baseball, basketball, and softball. He was a member the Moose and at one time had been a lifeguard at the Moose Lodge in Sauk Village. In his spare time he enjoyed music and was also known to be quite the photographer! He was a longtime member of St. Jude’s Catholic Church in New Lenox. His kind heart and loving guidance was a great comfort and will be missed by his family. In keeping with his wishes, private cremation rites will be held. A Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 12th, from 10:00 AM until time of Mass at 11:00 AM at St. Jude’s Church, 241 W. 2nd Ave. in New Lenox.
