Gary Muench, 79, of Park Forest, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, July 5th surrounded by his loving family. He was born November 25, 1942, in Aurora, Missouri to the late Harold and Veata Muench. 

He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Shirley. He is the cherished father of four children, Theodore Muench, Deborah Hepworth, Sherrie Siegert, and the late Timothy Muench. He is the proud Papa of six granddaughters: Heather, Amber, Jessica, Jacquelyn, Alliana, and Jada, as well as a great-grandfather to Leon. He is also survived by a number of treasured nieces, nephews, and cousins. Gary Muench was a loving family man and a lifelong friend to many.

Gary was a veteran of the United States Army, a Medinah Shriner, and a valued member of the Masons. He retired from Teamsters Local 710 with 29 years of employment as an over-the-road truck driver. 

Memorial visitation to celebrate Gary’s life will take place Friday, July 22, from 5-8PM at Skyline Memorial Park Chapel, 24800 S. Governors Highway, Monee, IL.
