Joan T. Lovera, 65, of Joliet, passed away Monday, October 10th, at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah to the late M. Arnie and Marjorie Tisthammer. She is survived by her beloved husband of 43 years, Joseph Lovera, Sr.; her loving son, Tim Lovera; Stepchildren, Joseph Lovera, Jr., Michael Lovera, and Mary Sue (Edward) Pogliano; Cherished grandmother of Eddie (Estefany “Stefi”) Pogliano, Samuel “Sam” Pogliano, and Joey Pogliano; Devoted sister of Mary (late Robert) Teran, David Tisthammer, Corey Tisthammer, the late Sue Anne Kelly, and the late Arnie Tisthammer; and her “Furry Children”, Toby and Little Girl. Joan was a member and former treasurer of the Will County Chapter of A.B.A.T.E. and the Big-Hearted Bikers of Will County. In addition to her love for motorcycles and riding, she enjoyed reading and arts and crafts. Her finest labor of love, though, was caring for her family! In keeping with her wishes, private cremation rites will be accorded. A Celebration of Her Life will take place at a later time. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Lightways Hospice, 250 Water Stone Circle, Joliet, IL 60431 in her memory would be appreciated.
