Joseph J. Nolan, WW II Navy Veteran, Ret. Sgt. Detective C.P.D. Beloved husband of the late Rosemary V. Nolan (nee Connolly); Devoted father of Rosemary, Karen and Linda (Michael) Carbone; Cherished grandfather and great-grandfather of many; Loving uncle and dear friend to many. During WW II he served in the US Navy on the USS Altamaha and the USS Cushing (DD797) vessels. He received many medals including his Victory Medal, the American Area Campaign Medal, and the Asiatic Pacific Area Campaign Medal. Joseph proudly wore badge #1029 for 34 years in the Chicago Police Department, retiring in 1988 as a Sgt. Detective. Visitation Tuesday, February 8th, 4:00 – 8:00 PM at Brady-Gill Funeral Home, 16600 S. Oak Park Ave., Tinley Park. Funeral Service at the funeral home on Wednesday, February 9th, 10:30 AM. Military Honors and Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery, Evergreen Park.
