Kenneth E. Zohfeld, 75, of Monee, passed away Sunday, November 6th following a long illness, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of 54 years and best friend to Maureen Zohfeld (nee DeWitt); Loving father of Thomas (Kimberly) Zohfeld and Tracy Fuentes; Proud Papa of Kaylie, Shane, Ciarra, Payton, Jacob, Mason, Mila, Michael and Kenzie; Fond brother of Ron (Carolyn) Zohfeld, Wayne Zohfeld, and Terry Zohfeld, Linnea Strandness, Sharon Zohfeld-Ramirez, David Zohfeld and the late Brenda Orsolini; Devoted son of the Late Eugene and late Estella Zohfeld and Step-son of the late Amy Zohfeld; Loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. Kenneth worked as both a Police Officer for Monee and a Diesel Bus Mechanic for Van Der AA – Van Com. His career was shortened by his diagnosis with Multiple Sclerosis in 1993. He was a long time and faithful member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Monee. In his free time, he was an outdoorsman, especially loving fishing and camping. He enjoyed NASCAR and his favorite sports teams were the Minnesota Vikings and the Chicago White Sox. In keeping with his wishes, private cremation rites have been accorded. A Memorial Mass will take place at St. Boniface Church, 5304 W. Main Street in Monee on Saturday, December 10th, 2022 at 10:00 AM. The family will receive visitors at the church from 9:00 AM until the time of the Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Kenneth’s name may be made to the Monee Paramedics, P.O. Box 351, Monee, IL 60449, or St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
