Larry M. Slovin, 78, of Orland Park, passed away Thursday, November 24th, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born on July 15, 1944 in Chicago to the late Sol and Ida Slovin. He was the beloved husband of the late Mary Slovin, (nee Kay). He is survived by his loving children, Rob (Lisa) Slovin and Cindy (Jay) Hill; cherished grandfather of Jake Slovin, Nick Hill, Sarah Slovin and Emily Hill; devoted brother of Lenny (Janene) Slovin and Beverly (Howard) Reinglass and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Larry worked at the Elizabeth Ludeman Center in Park Forest with the mentally handicapped for 30 years, retiring in the early 2000’s. He was a member of the Masonic lodge. He enjoyed all sports, playing pool, and riding his motorcycle. He was especially passionate for his beloved White Sox. He had a keen wit that will be missed by his family and he showed unbelievable strength in his battle with Parkinson’s Disease later in life! Private graveside service on Saturday, November 26th, 11:00 AM at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, 21495 S. Elsner Rd., Frankfort, IL.
