Maria Dolores Nateras, 54, of Joliet, passed away on Friday, September 11th, at her home surrounded by her loving family, following a courageous two-year battle with cancer. Beloved wife of 39 years to Martin Nateras Gomez; Loving mother of Martin (Cecilia) Nateras, Elizabeth (Daniel Soto) Nateras, Jacqueline (Jesse, III) Bines, Tracey Nateras, and Margarita (Jose Luis) Calderon; Cherished grandmother of Marcos, Mia, David, Mariana, Christian, Daniel, Jessie Eloise, Silvia, Olivia, Abigail, and Sofia; Devoted daughter of Maria Del Carmen Gutierrez (nee Hernandez) and the late Roberto Gutierrez; Fond sister of the late Jose Gutierrez Hernandez, Roberto Gutierrez Hernandez, Norma Angelica Gutierrez Hernandez, the late Hedit Gutierrez Hernandez, Hedi Gutierrez Hernandez, Maria Del Carmen Gutierrez Hernandez, Maria Concepcion Gutierrez Hernandez, and Antonio Gutierrez Hernandez; and many loving nieces and nephews. A very devout woman, Maria read her Bible daily as well as prayed over her daily devotions. She shared her great faith with those closest to her. She and Martin were married in 1981 in Mexico and moved to the US in 1985. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting, but most importantly, raising her family! She will be greatly missed! In keeping with her wishes, private cremation rites have been accorded. Public Memorial Service information is printed below. In lieu of flowers, contributions to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 S. Judes Place, Memphis, TN, 38105 in Maria’s memory would be appreciated. Midwest Mortuary Service entrusted with arrangements. Info. (708) 478-3546
